This drinking chocolate is earthy and deep, with a malty, almost mocha-like finish that lingers for days. Look for rich notes of honey, aromatic coffee, and toasted nuts.

The single origin beans come from a remote part of north-eastern Honduras, so remote that it's only accessible by two day's journey via canoe. 

From Food & Wine: “This is a very complex drinking chocolate,” shared one editor. “It tastes like if I melted a really high-quality chocolate bar. You get those sweet, nutty, banana bread notes, which is a nice surprise.” 


Directions: Heat 1/2 of milk in a saucepan until steaming. Add 1/4 cup of drinking chocolate and whisk until completely dissolved and frothy. Pour into a cup and enjoy. This can also be made with non-dairy milk or use cream for an intensely decadent experience.

SHIPPING

Your package should arrive within 5-8 business days. You will receive tracking information as soon as we've shipped your order out.

Please note that during hot weather months (May-September), we only ship Mondays-Wednesdays to prevent products being held in a shipping facility over the weekend. If your order is placed after Wednesday at 12pm, it will ship the following week, which means it may arrive within 10 business days of placing your order.

We do everything we can to ensure your package will arrive in good condition, including packing your order with ice-packs and insulation during hot weather months. If your item arrives melted or damaged in any way, please contact us right away so we can make things right.

STORAGE

CHOCOLATE CARE: Please store your chocolate in a cool, dry place away from direct light -- ideally at temperatures between 65 and 68F.

COOKIE AND PASTRY CARE: Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Cakes and macarons should be refrigerated upon arrival and consumed within 7 days. We recommend letting macarons come to room temperature before eating, and warming cookies and cakes in a 350F oven for a few minutes for best enjoyment. Any items that will not consumed immediately can be frozen for up to 3 months.

We work with cacao suppliers that regularly test their harvests for lead, cadmium and other contaminants and we only purchase those that are well within safe limits.
