Let's Make: Drinking Chocolate - Old World vs New World


New World Drinking Chocolate

Ingredients:

115 g (1/2 cup) Water

32 g (1/4 cup) Drinking Chocolate

Instructions:

In a small saucepan bring water to a simmer. Remove from heat.

Add drinking chocolate and whisk until smooth. Decant into a small mug and Enjoy!

 

New World Drinking Chocolate Spiced & Frothed

Ingredients:

115 g (1/2 cup) Water

32 g (1/4 cup) Drinking Chocolate

Pinch of Salt (to taste)

Pinch of Chipotle Chili Powder (to taste)

Instructions:

In a small saucepan bring water to a simmer. Remove from heat. Pour into a blender or small liquid spice grinder.

Add drinking chocolate, salt, and chipotle chili powder, and blend for a few minutes on high until frothy. Decant into a small mug and imagine standing on a Mesoamerican pyramid looking out of an ancient world!

 

Old World Drinking Chocolate

Ingredients:

115 g (1/2 cup) Whole Milk

32 g (1/4 cup) Drinking Chocolate

Instructions:

In a small saucepan bring whole milk to a simmer. Remove from heat.

Add drinking chocolate and whisk until smooth. Decant into a small mug and pretend your in a Medieval parlor indulging in something almost no one in Europe has tasted yet!

 

Old World Drinking Chocolate for Royalty

Ingredients:

57 g (1/4 cup) Whole Milk

57 g (1/4 cup) Cream

32 g (1/4 cup) Drinking Chocolate

Pinch of salt (to taste)

Instructions:

In a small saucepan bring whole milk and cream to a simmer. Remove from heat.

Add drinking chocolate, and salt, whisk until smooth. Decant into a small mug and Enjoy the ride!
